Facts About the Waiver Application for Health Care Workers

Prospective health care workers in Illinois may be barred permanently from employment in an unlicensed health care position on account of a disqualifying offense unless they have a health care waiver. This document walks through the process of obtaining a health care waiver. Health care waiver requirements will be revised effective January 1, 2017 pursuant to Public Act 99-0872.
