Ethel Muhammad joined Safer Foundation in 2001

Ethel Muhammad

Ms. Muhammad is a leader in the fields of operations and organizational development. She has been pivotal to several major transformational initiatives to move business entities to ones that embrace breakthroughs, achieve strong results, and excel in the competitive market place.  She worked her way through the management ranks to senior management positions with responsibility for large multi-functional work groups and administrative functions. Those roles included General Manager – State Area, Illinois Bell; Vice President – Customer Service, Ameritech Enhanced Business Services; and Vice President – External Relations, SBC Communications-Illinois Region.

Ethel has an undergraduate degree from Chicago State University and a MBA from the Illinois Institute of Technology.  Ms. Muhammad is on the Executive Council of the University of Illinois-Extension, an alumna of Leadership America, and served on boards of the Metropolitan Chicago Information Center, Leadership Illinois, and the Chicago Local School Council.
