Safer Foundation in the Quad Cities

Safer has been helping reduce recidivism in the Quad Cities for more than three decades.

Safer began serving the Quad Cities area in 1976, when it opened an employment services and youth education office in Rock Island, Illinois.  In 1978, Safer opened a office in Davenport, Iowa, to provide services for court-involved youth.  These programs have served thousand of people over the years.

In 2009 alone, the Rock Island Employment Services office provided assessment and job training to more than 250 people with criminal records, with 125 of these individuals finding employment at more than fifty area employers.
