What You'll Need (Youth Empowerment Program)

If you live in Rock Island County and are between 16 and 21 years old and are no longer enrolled in school, you are eligible for Safer Foundation's Youth Empowerment Program (YEP).

YEP is available to individuals who are 16 to 21 and seeking a high school equivalency diploma.

In order to participate you must:

1. Obtain identification in the form of an Illinois State ID or a Driver’s License. A birth certificate and a social security card are also required. You can obtain an ID or Drivers License at the following location:

2. Schedule an appointment to interview for admission to the program.

3. Bring a drop slip from the last school attended if you have one.

4. Income eligibility is required. YEP staff will work with you to obtain this information.
