Resource Connection Helps Offenders Find Jobs, Housing

Thomas Geyer of the Quad-City Times features the Q-C Advocates for Success, a partnership that includes Safer Foundation.

Q-C Advocates for Offender Success will be holding two “resource connection” events that will introduce criminal offenders to resources that will help them in making the transition back into society.

In Iowa, the event will be held Tuesday at the Kahl Education Center, and in Illinois it will be held Wednesday at Broadway Presbyterian Church, Rock Island.

This is the third year Q-C Advocates for Offender Success has sponsored the event, said Sue Davison, program manager of the Safer Foundation, one of the member agencies of Q-C Advocates for Success.

“The event hopes to showcase community resources available to assist those in our community who are struggling with the stigma of a criminal record,” Davison said.
