Financial Opportunity Center

An important model that helps clients adopt sound money-management principles

Safer Foundation established the Financial Opportunity Center (FOC) in 2011 to help clients achieve economic stability and grow their personal assets.

Clients are provided one-on-one access to a Financial Coach, who assists them in developing a plan for their financial future. The Financial Coach helps clients manage debt, improve credit, build financial wealth, and educates them on different banking products. Clients also can attend a financial literacy workshop.

An Income Support Specialist assists clients in accessing and maintaining available public benefits and other free or low-cost resources.

The Financial Coach can also help with or refer clients to programs for:

  • Debt Reduction

> Medical Bills

> Child Support

  • Credit Fraud
  • IRS Issues
  • Free Tax Preparation
  • Banking Products
