Mental Health
Safer Foundation recognizes that many ATC residents suffer with undiagnosed mental health problems that can interfere with their ability to successfully return to the community as productive members.

Residents at the adult transition centers receive counseling to address mental health issues.
In response to this frequently neglected need, both centers provide mental health services to residents through credentialed professionals.
Crossroads ATC uses the services of a PhD psychologist who conducts mental health assessments, develops personalized treatment plans and conducts individual and group treatment sessions. At both ATCs, the Adler School of Professional Psychology also provides PsyD and Master's level interns who are supervised by a faculty member. The interns conduct mental health assessments and evaluations. They also provide individual, group and family counseling.
