Services at the Adult Transition Centers
Residents at Safer Foundation's adult transition centers receive a number of services during their stay at the facilities. During the last 30 days to 24 months of their services, clients work with Safer staff to become job ready, study for the GED exam, work with family members, and many more services that will help them transition to society successfully.
Safer Foundation believes that four elements are necessary if an adult transition center is to facilitate the successful transition of an individual with a criminal record from prison to law-abiding member of the community:
- A secure and structured environment.
- A well- trained and caring staff.
- A motivated client.
- A comprehensive range of quality programs and services designed to meet client needs, as well as the objectives of Safer Foundation and the Illinois Department of Corrections.
