Requirements
Good interpersonal and diagnostic skills, proven ability to conduct client interviews resulting in client skill’s assessment, experience in conducting small group counseling sessions, strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience working with an ex-offender (adult or juvenile) or substance-abuse populations a plus. Computer skills also a plus.
Description of Tasks
- Administer initial intake interviews, assessment and make recommendations for employment.
- Participate in and facilitate group sessions with center residents (career mapping, resume
writing, mock interviews, etc.)
- Organize and maintain resident files/records in accordance with Safer and IDOC guidelines.
- Review resident progress throughout the orientation period and make recommendations for
program planning.
- Inputting client group notes in Axiom.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Hours
15 – 40 hours per week as dictated by the program
